So incredibly much is happening on the planet Earth scene. It has become very difficult for many of us to keep our bearings. One of the most frequent responses I get when I ask people, “how it going?” is “I’m overwhelmed.” The amount of information spewing forth daily, hourly, minutely is mind boggling so its no wonder that many feel this way. We have our own political circus here in the US and truly that does seem to be what it has degenerated into. Our nation has never before experienced the level of election dysfunction that has manifested in recent years and its not getting better. The refrain I used to hear was that if we could just elect a few of the good people things would albeit slowly get back on a healthy track. I do not hear that sentiment these days. Yes, of course there are exceptions, among the MAGA republican ranks it seems there are many who feel that Trump will save us, he’ll make America great again. There are also no doubt a significant number of Kennedy supporters who feel strongly that Bobby will bring us a just and honest society.
As for old Joe Biden the level of confidence in him is very much on the wane and entirely gone in some circles. His chances of reelection would seem to be dismal at this point as it has become painfully clear that he is not mentally fit for the job. This is not simply a partisan issue. Many democrats including big donors like the Walton family and a Disney heiress have stated no more donations until Biden is removed. Speculation is running rampant on who the successor might be with several hopefuls showing up in DC to press their cases. There must be a massive amount of backroom dealing going on right now. So, with so much up in the air and nothing being a sure thing, where do we go from here?
In the end though how much does it really matter. There is and has been for many years a strong undercurrent that slides into and over everything. The anti human undercurrent pushed by those behind the scenes, the global elite and the technocratic agenda to subjugate humanity. The hurdles we face are many and most are of epic proportions. The ever threat of a serious Mideast regional war, the Israel situation with Lebanon and the Hezbollah. The threat of the Ukraine war going global as in nuclear war. Just today we learned of the snap election in Great Brittan they resulted in the total defeat of the Torrie’s and Rishi Sunak’s post as Prime. Minister. Sunak submitted his resignation to King Charles at Buckingham Palace shortly after. I lived in Canada for a time and remember how simple it was for the party in power to call an election. Once called the election was held within two or three months. Quite unlike our elections here that become multi year productions requiring vast sums to be spent in a effort to sway voters and line up the mechanisms that will influence the outcomes. Perhaps we could learn something from the British and the Canadians.
So I say again where do we go from here? A good example to follow would be the brave men who put it all on the line by signing the Declaration of Independence. The fifty six men who took that stand risked everything. A few of them were captured as traitors by the British and tortured before they died. Twelve of them had their homes ransacked and burned. Others saw there wives captured and tortured. Many went into hiding and knew they would be tortured and killed if captured. These men were well lawyers and businessmen well respected in their communities. There were a large number who lost everything, homes , farms and businesses. We need to remember that the fourth of July was a revolution not a barbecue. Seems it may be time for more of us to draw the proverbial line in the sand. Speak out your truth and stay free.
Yes. And what does a revolution look like these days?
For starters, I guess it could be saying "NO' to wars, fake science, fake medicine, empty pesticide ridden "food" and the endless acquisition of "stuff ". And, of course, there has to be a big "YES" to genuine community, and love of family, friends, nature. What else?
